A
pH of 7 is needed with numbers less than 7 indicating acidity and
over 7 being alkaline. The ideal range for most grasses is between
5.5 and 7.5 but this depends on the type of soil and turf. It is possible to improve your soil pH by adding Lime to acid soils and Sulfur to alkaline soil. To get the full benefits of readily available food to your lawn you must have the optimum pH level. We know that can be confusing, but the proper pH level is indirectly related to the amount of soil nutrients available to the grass plants.
